ID Photo Codes (www.idphoto.codes) and Passport Photo Codes (www.passportphoto.codes) are websites developed and operated by imagicam Limited ('imagicam ' , 'imagicam Ltd.' , 'Our' , 'We' , 'Us') based in The United Kingdom.
We provide a service to securely store and transfer the digital identification photograph ('ID Photo') of a subject ('the subject', 'they', 'their') for use in official online documents that require an ID Photo of the applicant, for example, an online passport application.
This is done by means of a uniquely generated code ('Photo Code') that is issued to the subject allowing them to either enter their Photo Code into specific third party websites to give access to their ID Photo, for example HMPO, or for the subject to securely download a copy of their ID Photo to use however they wish.
The Photo Codes generated will have been requested by the retailer/photographer ('the retailer') who took the subject's ID Photo
The right to privacy of the subject is important to us so with this in mind, the system has been designed and built to comply with the latest General Data Protection Rules (GDPR). This includes giving the subject full access to view, download and delete their digital ID photo and associated personal information. As per the GDPR regulations, the deletion of the subject's digital ID photo and all associated personal information will be performed automatically, six months after the creation of their Photo Code.
We also have data protection registration with the Information Commissioner under the Data Protection Act 1998 ('the Act'). Our registration number is: Z1117105. We aim to ensure we comply with all the protection the Act affords to you. Further information on the Act is available on the Internet at ww.dataprotection.gov.uk
To use the ID Photo Codes Service, specific pieces of personal information are required to be able to generate a personal Photo Code for the subject's ID Photo, store the ID Photo securely online and to send the personal Photo Code to the subject. There may also be the need to use this personal information to contact the subject for operational reasons, for example (but not limited to), giving assistance or support when using the service.
Apart from the retailer, no third party will be allowed access to the subject's ID Photo unless express permission is given by the subject. This could be, for example, during an online passport application where the subject has been asked to enter the Photo Code associated with their ID Photo into the website, or they upload their ID Photo direct via the third party website's file upload mechanism. No third party will have access to any of the personal information associated with the subject's ID Photo, except for the retailer, for the purposes of managing the Photo Code generated on behalf of the subject.
The subject's ID Photo will have been uploaded to our secure web servers using a high level of encryption by the retailer who took their ID Photo. As already stated above, specific pieces of personal information are required to be able to generate a personal Photo Code for the subject. The subject should have been notified of this and their permission sought by the retailer before these actions took place. If this was not the case or the subject feels uneasy with their personal information being stored this way, then the subject has full access to delete their ID Photo and associated personal information from the system.

Like many other websites, the ID Photo Codes and the Passport Photo Codes websites are equipped with a program that monitors traffic by automatically recording every visitor's host, domain name, pages visited, length of user sessions, browser type and/or IP address. This program tracks the number of times the website is hit, how many visitors come to the website, which parts of the website they frequent, and the length of time of each visit.
